The library offers a good selection of adult and junior books, talking books, CDs, newspapers and magazines.
We offer free access to the internet, e-mail, word-processing and other Office packages. Scanning facilities are also available. If you need help getting online, staff are always happy to help. Training sessions for beginners can be booked.
A new face to face customer service facility was launched at Chopwell, Crawcrook, Rowlands Gill and Winlaton Libraries in December 2008. Staff can answer any enquiries you may have on a council service. And if they aren’t sure, they’ll find out for you! The four libraries are all offering this customer service as part of a trial scheme to help you access council services more easily.
