Volunteers wanted!

The Friends of Gateshead Central Library have received an award from the councillors of the Saltwell Ward to help develop and maintain a community garden at the rear of the Central Library. The grant will allow the Friends to arrange a series of gardening workshops to encourage local people to grow their own fruit, vegetables and flowers.

There will also be a family carnival in June as part of Gateshead Together week.

The Friends of Central Library are looking for volunteers from the Saltwell area to get involved.

For more information please contact Chris Myhill on 0191 433 8494 or email christinemyhill@gateshead.gov.uk
