General View of High Street

Here is the High Street looking towards the Metropole Theatre. On the left is the Theatre which opened in 1906 and still stands. This is followed by the Atlas Hotel which has since been demolished. On the right of the photograph is the Park House Hotel which provided up-market refreshments. In the background you can just see Holy Trinity Church.
