  We've thousands of CDs offering you the best in Pop, Rock, Easy Listening, Classical, Blues, Country, Soundtracks, Ambient, World, Reggae, Folk & Jazz. Nice
• Film & TV:
  Plus over 9000 DVD & Blu-ray discs for your viewing pleasure. We buy the latest releases and have an amazing back catalogue of TV Classics, Comedy, Horror, Sci-fi, Musicals, World Cinema, Vintage & Contemporary Classics as well as a bunch of titles for kids of all ages
• Language Courses:
  From Afrikaans to Zulu on CD and cassette (remember those?)
• PCs:
  For a small annual fee we provide access to PCs and laptops with email, the Internet and Microsoft Office. Gateshead Libraries also subscribes to a range of online resources: check out our Virtual Library
• Books:
  We also have a collection of novels, which have inspired some of your favourite films and a great range of Film, TV and Music books, 'Learn to Play' guides and Music Scores

  Friday: 9.00am to 7.00pm
  Saturday: 9.00am to 1.00pm

Fees & Charges with effect from April 1, 2012

• DVD & Blu-ray Hire:
  Premium titles (overnight loans): £2.50 per night
  Weekly titles: £2.00 per week / £3.00 per fortnight
  DVD Boxed Sets: £5.00 per week / £7.50 per fortnight (excluded from special offers)
• CD Hire:
  2 weeks hire: £0.75
  Reservation charge: £0.80 per item
• Language Course Hire:
  From £0.50 to £2.00 for 3 weeks hire, depending on format. If you'd like to rent a course for 6 weeks, please ask.
  Reservation Charges: £0.80 per item
• Overdue Charges:
  Premium DVD & Blu-ray: £2.50 per day
  Weekly DVD & Blu-ray: £0.50 per day
  DVD boxed set: £1.00 per day
  CDs, Books & Language Courses: £0.17 per item per day (maximum £9 each item).

  Every day 5.00pm - 7.00pm: 6 CDs for the price of 4
  Wednesday 9.00am - 5.00pm: 6 CDs for the price of 4
  Thursday 9.00am - 7.00pm: 3 CDs for the price of 2
  Saturday 9.00am - 1.00pm:6 CDs for the price of 4

Lost Tickets

• Replacement charge for lost tickets: £2.10 (Please bring ID)

Vocal Scores

• Reservation charges:
  £0.80 per copy for Gateshead items
  £3.20 per copy for items obtained through inter-library loans

Lost and Damaged Items

• A charge will be made for lost, damaged items and non-returned (minimum charge for CDs DVDs & Blu-rays: £9.50)
