You can now join Gateshead Libraries by completing a simple online membership form.
You can collect your card from any branch of Gateshead Libraries, but please remember to bring along proof of your name and address or, if you are under 16, to ask your Parent or Guardian to provide proof for you.
Membership will automatically allow you to borrow books. If you’re over 18 and want to borrow CDs and DVDs we need to do an extra security check. We will send a letter out to you in the post. Please wait for this letter to arrive and bring it in with you when you collect your ticket.
We will accept as proof of your name and address:
Current Driving Licence
Recent Council Tax bill
Electricity, Gas, Phone or Water Bill
Recent Bank or Building Society Statement
