The Sage Gateshead

The Sage Gateshead is a state of the art music centre on the banks of the Tyne. The stunning Norman Foster building includes:

A 1700 seat hall, and a flexible 400 to 500 seat hall.

The Northern Rock Foundation Hall for rehearsal, performance and education.

A high-tech music information resource centre run by Gateshead Council and housed in the Joan and Margaret Halbert Space.

The Barbour Room, providing a very special space for entertainment and events for up to 300 people.

A spectacular glazed concourse, wrapping around the front and sides of the building and providing unrivalled views of the vibrant cityscape.

A 25 room Music Education Centre for individual and group workshops and rehearsals.

The Sage Gateshead have provided expert advice about content for FARNE, and the FARNE site will be a key resource for the new Music Information Centre housed within the Sage Gateshead building.
