AIRS offers a comprehensive professional transcription service converting print and electronic text into Braille, large print and a variety of audio formats. We can also translate English into British Sign Language (BSL) on video or DVD, and add BSL or subtitles to existing recordings. We devise and produce tactile maps and floor plans on swell paper for visually impaired visitors to premises who read by touch.
We transcribe all kinds of information, from birthday cards for individuals to large mailings of newsletters or company information. We give every attention to detail and to making the information as accessible as possible for the person who will be using it. We create a ‘master copy’ for each document transcribed or translated and produce additional copies from that master. The master can then be re-used or updated as required.
Our service includes the binding of Braille and large print documents, fast copying and full recording facilities in our own studios. We can also deliver transcribed documents direct to your clients and we deal with companies and organisations all over the UK.
AIRS is part of Gateshead Council and we transcribe a variety of information for the Council, including the regular 'Council News' magazine into large print, Braille or audio formats. To receive a copy, please contact Communications on tel. 0191 433 8444 or contact AIRS.
Our experienced staff are also happy to offer advice on all areas of transcription, scripting, editing, recording and distribution. Please contact:
